Fertility Care South Africa (FCSA)'s egg donation programme aims to help you realise the dream of conceiving, whether for the first time or to grow your family, with the assistance of IVF egg donation, and to guide you through every step of the process.
In most cases FCSA's egg recipients are women who were previously unable to conceive a pregnancy with their own eggs due to ovarian failure, a depleted or diminished ovarian reserve, a lack of ovaries, or a lack of success after repeated attempts to use their own eggs. For all these women, egg donation by a healthy egg donor may allow their dreams of having a family to come true.
As a small agency, FCSA proudly offers a one-on-one service in a nurturing, supportive, and non-judgemental environment.

More about Fertility Care South Africa
Mbali Lechler became a founding member of one of the first South African egg donation agencies after experiencing for herself the pain and stress that comes with infertility.
FCSA works with a team of highly qualified professionals – psychologists, fertility specialists, and nutritionists - who are passionate about their work, and who are available to answer your concerns. They have a hands-on philosophy with their egg donors and recipients, taking time to get to know each as an individual to help achieve optimum results.
FertilityCareSA works with only the very best, accredited institutions in Africa who are registered with their specialist associations and adhere to those professional codes of conduct. All medical specialist partners are pioneers in the fertility industry and internationally recognised.
FCSA's egg donors
The egg donor, all between the ages of 21 and 31, go through extensive evaluation prior to becoming a donor. FCSA provide very detailed personal information of all their egg donors (ie height, weight, eye colour, hair colour, skin tone, medical history and family’s medical history, highest level of education, aspirations in life and hobbies) while protecting the identities of both donor and recipient. The donor also has the opportunity to write a letter to potential recipients through her profile. FCSA will also share with recipients a picture of the donor when she was less than 12 years old, allowing recipients to make an informed choice.
Potential egg donors also have a full gynaecological evaluation and psychological assessment by a clinical psychologist. They all have the following blood tests performed – HIV, CMV, RPR (for syphilis) and Hepatitis B and C serology. Additional tests may also be requested by the recipients. All tests are in line with international legislation and best-practice guidelines.
