Nova Vida provides you with quiet time away from the stress and distractions of modern day living. This quiet time can be used for reflection, contemplation, meditation, and reconsideration of life goals and dreams essential for creating a new life. A period of time away from the substance, behaviour, or trigger is also essential.
Your therapy programme will follow a solid research-based approach. Group therapy, rather than individual therapy alone, has the most success in the treatment of addictive disorders. In order to provide added support, you will be offered individual therapy sessions when clinically indicated. A
lack of knowledge can be one of the common contributing factors in the development of addiction. Psycho-educational lectures and seminars form an important part of a holistic programme.
Your programme adheres to a 12 Step, abstinence based treatment philosophy. This too is supported by research. It provides the opportunity to break the cycle of addiction, to address the underlying psychological issues and provide the skills for long term total abstinence. You will be accommodated in separate male and female double occupancy en-suite rooms, thereby ensuring peer support and combating the psychological isolation which is an integral part of addiction illnesses. Recreational facilities include a swimming pool, regular access to a fitness centre with a personal trainer, and space for outside team building and therapeutic activities.
Catering is provided by professional chefs with many years experience. They and their team will provide cuisine with due consideration to the varied and individual needs of Nova Vida clientele.
Your anticipated length of stay is between 32 and 56 days.
